Later I swung the other way and tried to join too many of them. Neither version helped much. Following every trend made it feel borrowed. The middle ground took me a while to learn, mostly because it requires more judgment than a simple yes-or-no rule. A trend is not automatically good or bad. The question is whether it can travel through your account without leaving your voice behind.
